Ron J. Suresha (he/they) is the award-winning author or editor of more than a dozen books.
Suresha's collection of Turkish folk tales, The Uncommon Sense of the Immortal Mullah Nasruddin, won a Storytelling World Honor and an Anne Izard Storytellers' Choice Award. His sequel story collection, Extraordinary Adventures of Mullah Nasruddin, was also named a Lammy Finalist and a Rainbow Book Award Honorable Mention.
His two acclaimed nonfiction anthologies on contemporary masculinities, Bi Men: Coming Out (with P. Chvany), and Bisexual Perspectives on the Life and Work of Alfred C. Kinsey, were both finalists for the Lambda Literary Award.
Suresha's pictorial book, Fur: The Love of Hair (with S. McGillivray), won a Rainbow Book Award in nonfiction. His 2014 anthology, Hibernation and Other Poems by Bear Bards, was awarded two Rainbow Book Awards. Suresha has also authored a collection of interviews and discussions, Bears on Bears, and a hot beverage recipé book, Mugs o' Joy.
Suresha is the founder of Bear Bones Books & Media, which has published more than two dozen titles under its imprint. He lives in Connecticut with his husband.
