Karen E. Starr

KAREN STARR, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst who maintains a private practice in New York City and Great Neck, NY. She is the author of Repair of the Soul: Metaphors of Transformation in Jewish Mysticism and Psychoanalysis, and A Psychotherapy for the People: Toward a Progressive Psychoanalysis, with Lewis Aron. She is editor of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Integration: An Evolving Synergy, with Jill Bresler. Dr. Starr is Faculty, New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.

Dr. Starr earned her Bachelor's degree at Barnard College, her Master's Degree in Computer Science at Columbia University School of Engineering, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University.
