Danny A. Belrose is an ordained minister, amateur poet, and artist. He attended Saint Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, Missouri, and St. Stephen’s College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he graduated with a master of theology and doctor of ministry degree. Dr. Belrose is the author of Let the Spirit Breathe, Wave Offerings, Vulnerable to Grace and several hymn texts in Community of Christ Sings hymnal, published in 2013.
Danny and his wife, Penelope Lynne (Prior) Belrose, are dual US/Canadian citizens and reside in Independence, Missouri. They are parents to three daughters, Beth Ann Morden (deceased), Kerry Lee Peters, and Heather Lynn Moor.
Prior to retirement, Dr. Belrose served as a general officer of Community of Christ’s International Headquarters with administrative responsibility for the southern gulf states of the US, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Aruba. In 2000 he was ordained "Presiding Evangelist" providing leadership and support for the church's Order of Evangelists and to serve as pastor to the church's president and World Church Officers. He taught homiletics in the church's seminary.
Danny's greatest joy is his wife Penelope, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom tolerate his bizarre sense of humor. When they read this bio, they will wonder who this person was!
