Robert Davis Hughes

Bob is Norma and Olan Professor of Divinity and Professor of Systematic Theology at the School of Theology, Sewanee:The University of the South. He has degrees from Yale (Phi Beta Kappa), Episcopal Theological School, and St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. He is a priest serving the Episcopal Church. His wife, Barbara, is a sculptor and painter and also teaches at the School of Theology. They have two sons and two grandsons. Bob also maintains a private practice in spiritual direction.

His recent book, Beloved Dust: Tides of the Spirit in Christian Life, was recently awarded the Poullart Libermann Award for the best book in Pneumatology (study of the Holy Spirit) in the past five years.
