Walter J. Jackson

Jim Jackson, AKA Walter James Jackson, was born at the old Pine Castle air base in Florida. He spent fifteen years of his life with a sheriff's department in South Georgia; eighty percent of that time was consumed in the Criminal Investigation Division. At the time of his retirement he was managing the department's crime lab and processing crime scenes. Prior to his career in law enforcement he served twenty four years in the U.S. Army. Early in his military career he served in the U.S. Army Special Forces; often referred to as the Green Berets. From there he went on to duties as a Drill Sergeant, Army Recruiter, Instructor, Platoon Sergeant, and First Sergeant. Jim retired as a Command Sergeant Major. His current interests include, fishing, shooting, history, the military, criminalistics (CSI), science, and religion. He has been married to his wife, Vivian, for over forty-five years. The marriage took place forty-seven days after their first meeting; and is evidence of his I know what I want and go get it attitude. His first book, SOLDIER'S STUDY GUIDE, did very well and encouraged his adventures into other written works. His grammar and punctuation may not always be correct, but he does get his points made and stories told in an effective way.
