Sami Timimi

I've had a long and distinguished career as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist in the UK, retiring from practice in early 2026. During that time I gained many innovation awards and led multiple service developments and still regularly present as a keynote speaker at national and international conferences. I've published over a 150 articles, including in top peer-reviewed medical journals, and tens of chapters on many subjects such as childhood, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychotherapy, behavioural problems and cross-cultural psychiatry. I've authored 4 books, co-edited 4 books, and co-authored 2 others. My latest book, 'Searching for Normal A New Approach to Understanding Mental Health, Distress and Neurodiversity' was named a Sunday Times book of the year in 2025.
