Thomas A. Britten

Thomas A. Britten earned a Ph.D. in History from Texas Tech University in 1994. He has taught history at Briar Cliff College (Sioux City, IA), Arkansas Tech University, and at the University of Texas at Brownsville. A Michigan native, Britten has written five books and several articles on different facets of Native American history. Britten served as the inaugural chair of the History Department at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley (2015-2019).
