Lew Bryson

Lew Bryson has been writing about beer and spirits since 1995. He was the managing editor of Whisky Advocate magazine from 1996 to 2015, and the author of six books, the most recent of which is "Whiskey Master Class," an all-inclusive look at the components that go into creating flavor and aroma in whiskey, from grain to yeast to still to blending to the intangible elements that make whiskey such a magic elixir. His previous book, "Tasting Whiskey," is a survey course for the whiskey drinker, a synthesis of Bryson's over 20 years of learning, visiting, and writing about this amazing drink, the places where it's made, and the people who make it.
