Matthew C. Altman

Matthew C. Altman is Chair and Professor of Philosophy at Central Washington University. In addition to authoring and editing books on applied ethics, the philosophy of law, and the history of philosophy (especially Kant), he is the series editor for _Palgrave Handbooks in German Idealism_ and _Palgrave Handbooks in the Philosophy of Law_. An award-winning teacher, Altman is an elected member of the public hospital board and is active in the faculty union. He and his family live in Ellensburg, Washington.
