Johnny Diaz is a breaking news reporter at The New York Times. Prior to that, he was a viral and features reporter at the South Florida Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. He's also a former media reporter for The Boston Globe's Business section and a features writer for The Globe's Living/Arts section. He started his career as a 16-year-old high school intern for his hometown newspaper, The Miami Herald where he was a Metro reporter in Broward county.
