Janis Flores

Janis Flores was born in Montana, and raised in Colorado and California. After graduating from college, she received her license in Medical Technology. She married Ray Flores, and they moved to northern California--she to supervise a laboratory, he to establish his horseshoeing business. When she began complaining that she'd never had time to take a writing class, Ray told her to quit whining and sign up for one at the J.C.

The class was on the short story, but Jan always has a lot to say, so she wrote a Gothic suspense novel called HAWKSHEAD, which was subsequently published in hardcover by (then) Doubleday and company. Thirty-four more novels--from historicals to contemporary mainstream--followed.
