I am an expert in the field of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy applied to the cardiovascular system. I have spent 50 years studying the human body and its healing through the manual therapeutic arts, meditation and trauma informed care especially with developmentally delayed infants and children.
I have a 100% military service related PTSD disability as a result of being in a terrorist bombing attack during my time as an Army officer on active duty. I write about this in my new book coming out summer 2025, The Biodynamic Heart, Somatic Compassion Practices for a Clear and Vital Heart.
Knowing I needed to address a deeper self-healing, I attended Naropa University and graduated with a masters degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy in 1986. I moved home then to become my mom's healthcare surrogate. She lived the last years of her life on a total life support. My path of discovering compassion was and is very deep.
It was during that time I worked on and received a doctorate in Somatic Psychology from the Union Institute. I actively began writing about mind-body-spirit integration and teaching internationally. I wrote my first five books, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Volumes 1-5 between 2007-2013. In 2023 Inner Traditions published The Biodynamics of the Immune System, Balancing the Energies of the Body with the Cosmos. I began to take a deep dive into the contemporary illness of metabolic syndrome that I suffered with in the Army and afterwards with chronic obesity which I healed.
I am fortunate to have His Holiness the Dalai Lama as my teacher. My journey of healing has taken me around the world. I love what I do, who I have become, and especially my marriage to my wife, Cathy. I married a beautiful mermaid and we live across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, where I go frequently to restore and renew myself.
