Malcolm G. Keif has been a student of printing for more than 30 years. He is a Professor and researcher in the Graphic Communication Department at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif. Cal Poly is recognized among the leading Universities for print and packaging. Malcolm oversees instruction in Flexographic plating and press operations at Cal Poly, as well as teaches Quality Management, Printed Electronics, Cost Estimating, Packaging Workflow and Lean Management. He also serves as the Graduate Coordinator for the Printed Electronics and Functional Imaging Master's degree at Cal Poly.
Malcolm is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and contributor to numerous industry publications. He is the author of several books including: Setup Reduction for Printers, Lean Printing: Pathway to Success, and Designer’s Postpress Companion. Malcolm received his Ph.D. in 1995 from University of Missouri. In 2004, Malcolm was selected as the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation’s Educator of the Year.
