Jonathan Laurence

Jonathan Laurence is a professor of political science at Boston College and a former fellow of the Brookings Institution and the American Academy in Berlin. He is author of Coping with Defeat (2021), The Emancipation of Europe’s Muslims (2012) and Integrating Islam: Political and Religious Challenges in Contemporary France (with J. Vaisse, 2006) and his work has appeared in such venues as the New York Times, The Economist, Foreign Affairs, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Le Monde.
