Joyce B. Lohse

Colorado author Joyce B. Lohse applies her journalism degree with western history to write biographies for readers of all ages. She is former administrator for Women Writing the West, and has written articles for magazines such as True West, Steamboat, Colorado Central, and Women Out West. Her eight books published by Filter Press have received awards from the Colorado Independent Publishers Association, Colorado Authors' League, and Women Writing the West. She has written four researched symposium compositions published by Pikes Peak Library District. In 2008, she accepted induction in the Colorado Woman's Hall of Fame for her nominee, Eliza Routt, Colorado's Original First Lady and first registered female voter.
