Truthfully, I was spawned in Brooklyn. Grew up in Rego Park. Went to Forest Hills High School, Harpur College and, later, the Culinary Institute of America.

Lots of stuff happened, including the 60's (I don't remember them), several years in Chicago as a food editor, far-flung astrological indoctrination, and for the last 30 years the ache of experiencing Moonscape,Arizona turn into Orange County East.

Along the way I've written or significantly contributed to five books, none of which I'd disown.

This morning I went for a bike ride.
