Susanna Pitzer

Susanna Pitzer is a writer, illustrator, and playwright who makes her home in New York City. She also manages to spend a great deal of time in her home state of Kansas. Where she loves the beautiful hills, open spaces, and vast blue skies.

She is the daughter of two kind parents, a country veterinarian father and a mother who kept home and office in order. She credits her fearless drive to try different creative endeavors to their optimism and belief that whatever you put your mind to...you can do.

Her latest picture book, "Not Afraid of Dogs," is the winner of multiple awards, including the Golden Kite Award.

She is currently working on new books and plays, as well as a webisode series based on her successful children's play, "Clucky, the Brave Little Hen."
