Gerardo Marti

Dr. Gerardo Martí is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Endowed Professor of Sociology at Davidson College and served as president of both the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion and the Association for the Sociology of Religion. A prolific and award winning author, Dr. Martí’s research has been generously funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc. and focused on race, religion, and social change. His scholarship is most invested in uncovering the dynamics of contemporary issues like inequality, religious innovation, and political power.
