Heidi Pesterfield

Heidi Pesterfield was born and raised in California where she was introduced to the outdoors at an early age. In college, she discovered a passion for rock climbing and began spending summers living in Yosemite's iconic Camp IV. After receiving a BA in journalism, Heidi moved to Lake Tahoe, became a contributor to numerous outdoor magazines, and worked for 10 years as a climbing guide for Alpine Skills International. Heidi's work history also includes her dedicated work in women's health for organizations including Planned Parenthood and the Feminist Women's Health Collective. Heidi currently resides in Tahoe Vista, California and works in publications as a writer/editor for a health care consulting firm.
