Robert Chalice has more than 25 years' experience in healthcare operations improvement, including extensive business and academic experience and independent consulting. He is the author of two books on improving quality and cost in healthcare. The most recent "Improving Healthcare Using Toyota Lean Production Methods - 46 Steps for Improvement" published by ASQ in 2007 is often among the top 10 best sellers at www.ASQ.org bookstore. His book has also been nominated as a candidate for the 2008 Shingo Prize and the HIMSS.org book of the year. He is currently President of the Chalice Consulting Group of Wausau, WI focusing on process and quality improvement. Previously, Chalice was the system director of Operations Improvement for Lee Memorial Health System of Fort Myers, FL, and director of Management Engineering for Wausau Hospital of Wausau, WI. Chalice earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master's degree from Northwestern University.
