Brian Joseph Gilley

Originally from Oklahoma, I grew up on the territories of the Potawatomi, Shawnee and Sac and Fox. I am of Alabama Creek, Cherokee and Choctaw ancestry as well as Italian. My work reflects my culturally intense upbringing and attempts to connect people's stories with social issues. Inevitably the goal of my work is the dismantling of social exclusion and settler logics.
