Georgia Shaffer

Author of six books, a Pennsylvania licensed psychologist, and a PCC credentialed life coach, Georgia has confronted many unwanted changes. She faced the upheaval brought with recurring cancer, divorce, single parenthood, loss of career and income. For more than thirty years, she has encouraged, counseled and coached those who are confronting troubling times. She shares her mistakes and a practical five-step approach for moving from hurt to healing in the newly expanded and revised edition A Gift of Mourning Glories. Learn how you can gradually move from despair and helplessness (mourning) to hope and joy (glory).

In 2023, she was named Christian Coach of the Year (2023) by the International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA). Georgia offers both individual and group coaching, leading online groups such as ReBUILD after Divorce and Taking Out Your Emotional Trash.

Georgia's story and photos are featured in the film Letters to God: Over 28 years ago Georgia was given a two percent chance to be alive in 10 years after a recurrence of breast cancer. At that time her son, Kyle, was only 8 years old. Georgia not only lived to see Kyle graduate from college but when Kyle was 30, she had the joy of dancing with him at his wedding.

When Georgia isn't writing, speaking or coaching, she enjoys working in her backyard garden. It's there that she loves to garden for her soul.
