Russ Westcott

Russ Westcott, president of R.T. Westcott & Associates, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, guides clients in: Organizational performance improvement projects, Implementing quality systems and obtaining certification, Application of lean techniques, Project planning and management, Strategic planning, and Listening to the Voice of the Customer. He has published over 200 articles and book content in eighteen books on quality-related topics. He instructs courses in quality management, project management, and strategic planning. He speaks frequently at local, regional, and national quality events. Russ is celebrating his 30th year as an independent consultant, instructor, and writer.

Russ enjoys visiting new locales and reading travel-related publications. He is an avid reader, averaging a book a week plus numerous magazines. His substantial personal library supports his research and writings in the quality management field, as well as other interests.

Russ is very active in the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and is on the advisory committee of the ASQ Quality Management Division's Council. He also is a member of the executive board of his locale ASQ section. He frequently speaks on quality-related issues at local, regional, and national events. Russ is a Fellow in ASQ and serves in the Fellows mentoring program. He is currently mentoring an ASQ member in Ghana.

Russ is also president of The Offerjost-Westcott Group, a subsidiary of R.T. Westcott & Associates, providing work-life planning and career coaching services to individuals.

Other pursuits include collecting die-cast auto and truck models, minerals, seashells, and of course, books.
