Don McDowell

Originally trained and deployed as an army officer to Vietnam, eventually moving into the intelligence community. I have had a career in intelligence analysis (and risk management) spanning half a century, taking me around the world examining problems and conducting instructional programs in many continents.

I love the idea of not only helping to develop the doctrine and practical application of intelligence analysis, but of sharing my concepts and experience. This is why I write and also why, now rapidly approaching my mid-seventies, I still travel to lecture on and practise my skills. Why retire from something so pleasurable?

Two more books are in preparation. One is an extension and updating of my main work on strategic analysis, encompassing the additional experience I have gained in the past decade. The second work is an autobiography about my life and adventures - in an endeavour to leave behind me a collection of stories of my life's encounters, for the benefit of my children and grandchildren.
