John Doherty

John Doherty is an award-winning chef and former Executive Chef of the Waldorf Astoria, where he led a team of 150 chefs and cooked for more U.S. presidents and world leaders than any chef in America. After three decades shaping one of the world’s most iconic hotels, he founded BLACKBARN Restaurant in New York City, known for its farm-driven, artisanal cooking. He is also the founder of Heavenly HARVST, a nonprofit providing nutritious, shelf-stable meals nationwide. Doherty’s work blends culinary mastery with a passion for using food to make a difference. The BLACKBARN Cookbook is his newest project.
