Marco Carnovale

Born in Rome in the year of the pig of the Chinese calendar, he received a Ph.D. in strategic studies from MIT in 1989, when the end of the Cold War made all he had read instantly obsolete.

From 1994 to 2001 he was an official in the Political Affairs division at NATO headquarters in Brussels. He has published numerous articles and some books on international political issues.

In 2015 he understood the meaning of life and became a professional wine sommelier.

Since 2001 he has been active in private consultancy, lecturing and public speaking engagements on travel, current affairs and wine. In 2023 he started a new career speaking on cruise ships.

He lives in London where he is married to Lifang, originally from Hunan, China, also born in the year of the pig, and their twins Arturo and Luigi.
