Vittorio Ferretti

Vittorio Ferretti is a freelance intellectual, born 1941 in Genoa (Italy) from German mother and Italian father (who fell in WWII). He graduated in classical studies from the Humanistic Highschool of Merano/Meran (Italy/South Tirol), and in technical physics from the Technische Hochschule München (Germany). Based alternatively in Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Italy, he worked during four decades in the telecommunications plants business. As professional by-product he published English/German dictionaries of Telco/IT terms.

Out of his intellectual passions history, sociology, philosophy and physics he published "Back to Ptolemaism" (a philosophical refection about Evolution and Humanity from the perspective of "complexity") and a German dictionary of historians of Antiquity and Middle Ages ("Geschichtsschreiber des Altertums und Mittelalters") and also in German "Weltchronik der Kriege uns Demozide" which is, with more than 5,000 entries, the most complete compilation of worldwide wars and democides (with resumes of casues, development and sequels) published in any language so far.
