Suzanne Dion is an Enneagram-based coach, teacher, and self-help relationships book author for developmental potential, child-centered parenting practices, and societal change. As a deeply committed advocate of the nine Enneagram types for developing self- and other-awareness, Suzanne certified as an Enneagram teacher in 2008 with the Palmer-Daniels Enneagram Professional Training School, now called The Narrative Enneagram (TNE). She is an established Enneagram educator, writer, and facilitator, dedicated to bringing an understanding of the nine personality types of the Enneagram and its compassion-building methods and practices to as many individuals, couples, families, corporate teams on occasion, and sectors of society as possible.
As a new author, Suzanne co-wrote "The Enneagram, Relationships and Intimacy: Understanding One Another Leads to Loving Better and Living More Fully" with David Daniels, M.D. (1934–2017) in order to bring the wisdom of the Enneagram and Dr. Dan Siegel's Mindful Awareness and attachment theory research and teachings to bettering human relationships and intimacy—with both self and other, as well as to parents and children, educational systems, and to societies as a whole. The book’s foreword is thoughtfully written by world-renowned mindfulness author, Daniel J. Siegel, M.D.
Suzanne offers individual and couple’s coaching and in-depth Enneagram trainings, including courses based on "The Enneagram, Relationships and Intimacy." As Suzanne trained with David Daniels, M.D., she is an advocate of "The Essential Enneagram Personality Test" as the most viable get-started guide as it's the only Enneagram 'test' to date that is self-identifying, where individual's 'see themselves' in the type-pattern descriptions rather than a test assigning a personality pattern based on a psychometric response, Likert scale. Self-recognition is one's of the hallmarks of self-discovery and personal growth.
Suzanne’s deeply held mission is to increase the self-awareness, developmental well-being, and spiritual consciousness of women, particularly mothers. In 2024, Suzanne co-founded T.A.P.P. – The Attuned Parent Project, "Becoming the Parent They Need" for the greater education of mothers and families, using the Enneagram as an application for heightened parent-child attunement. She is passionate about bringing T.A.P.P. to the marginalized as well as to women suffering incarceration.
Suzanne was an original founding Board Member of, both brand marketer and teacher for, the Enneagram Prison Project (EPP), a professional experience that has tremendously informed her work and her belief in the power of the Enneagram as an application for behavioral change and personal transformation. Suzanne designed curriculum and taught hundreds of students for EPP, including at San Quentin State Prison, San Mateo County Jail, and Santa Clara County's Main Jail and Elmwood Correctional Facility.
Suzanne started her own communications design company, ChaelDion Group Intl, in 1997 in order to deliver innovative graphics and communications art as well as emotive web design, writing, and marketing consultation to a wide variety of clients, many in the self-help and personal development markets.
For over 25 years early career, Suzanne was an internationally recognized sportaerobics specialist and spokesperson. Suzanne represented FIT Magazine's many promotions and initiatives of the day, which led to leading media-frenzied nationwide aerobics classes and television appearances across Asia and later on Europe and to serving as the Executive Technical Director of the International Aerobics Federation (IAF). The IAF went on to function under the auspices of the Japanese government's Ministry of Sport, Science, and Culture—based in Tokyo, Japan—and worked in conjunction with the International Gymnastics Federation, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
On behalf of the IAF, Suzanne worked for many years developing and marketing sportaerobics and fitness to a network of affiliated fitness-sport organizations and associations in over 35 countries worldwide. In her role as director, Suzanne spearheaded the technical team and wrote, "CommonRules for Sportaerobics," the operative regulations for competitive sportaerobics and trained judges, coaches, and athletes worldwide. She also collaborated on international promotions—both live and for-broadcast events, including those for Satellite television and ESPN.
