After high school in Utah, I spent 6 years of service with the United States Air force Strategic Air Command. I attended military schools in electronics and computer systems, and was on flying status with B-52 Bombers. After my discharge, I began my career in the electronics industry, and worked for laser manufacturers and several defense electronics companies. During this time,I spent 14 winters skiing as a volunteer National Ski Patrolman, and I rose through the ranks to become the USA Inter-mountain Division First Aid Advisor overseeing the training and testing of ski patrol members in Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. I also founded Cox Electronic Systems, where my team and I created the first sports timing devices with 1/1000 second resolution, and developed the first LCD Digital Watch. After several years I received an 'Outstanding Technical Achievement' award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. I occasionally wrote technical articles for several trade journals, including Industrial Computing Magazine, and now have a long-running blog on Wordpress.com titled "Musings by Ravo". The tough part came when I decided to try writing fiction.

'Secret of the Immortals' was my debut novel, and I sold it to a publisher in the year 2000 that went out of business before my book was published; however, the editors had provided a lot of encouragement to me and I learned a bit about what it takes to produce an action/adventure novel that incorporates a lot of science and technology in a way that is understandable and doesn't interfere with the story line. After the rights reverted to me, I decided to self-publish the work and I am presently writing a sequel.

I have also published a multi-genera book of short stories titled 'Smog and the Salv and other tales', and it magically flowed from my fingertips into the keyboard on my computer! My wife tells me I am happily married; my cat Bully Boy, thinks I'm a soft touch, and my friends think I'm a little addled. I can't disagree with any of these descriptions.
