Michael Biehl is the Washington Post bestselling author of six legal suspense mystery novels, including the critically acclaimed Karen Hayes Mystery Series and the 2023 release FOR DEAR LIFE. A practicing attorney who graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, he was chairman of the board of Aurora Psychiatric Hospital and Aurora Behavioral Health Services, and an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School. He is also a professional musician, playing keyboard with regional blues bands.
Michael is an avid outdoorsman and advocate for wilderness preservation. In 2007 Michael Biehl Park in Venice, Florida was named in recognition of his support for land conservation, as was the 283-acre Biehl Nature Preserve on Lake Twelve in Washington County, Wisconsin, in 2021.
He and wife Cathleen live in Sarasota, Florida, and Mequon, Wisconsin.
