John Stell

John Stell (b. 1967) grew up in the TV era of horror hosts and character cops. Eventually he began conceiving his own mystery stories inspired by the likes of Columbo and Perry Mason. Amateur sleuth Tracy Brubaker originated in late 1989/early 1990, and during the next 25 years solved many a crime only in the imagination of the author. But in 2014 Stell starting writing the Tracy stories in novel form. To date he has written over 20 Tracy Brubaker mystery novels, of which the first 14 have been published. He recently had published Maryland Monster Movie Memories, a book documenting the history of Maryland area horror hosts from 1957 - 1987. By day he is a practicing certified public accountant. He lives in Columbia, Maryland with his wife and five children.
