Amy Newman

Amy Newman is a senior lecturer emeritus of management communication at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. At the Nolan School of Hotel Administration, she taught courses in business writing, oral communication, persuasive communication, corporate and crisis communication, and organizational behavior. At the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Amy served as the faculty director of Grand Challenges, a community-engaged learning curriculum. Before Cornell, she had a career in human resources at Canon, Scholastic, and Reuters. A graduate of Cornell University and Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment at The New School, Amy maintains a blog of news stories about business communication and character. When not writing, Amy is hiking, kayaking, playing the drums, or at a recovery meeting.
