Roy A. Rogers is a seasoned helicopter pilot and a passionate author, whose life has been a tapestry of adventure and storytelling. From his first airplane ride at the age of two to his service in the Vietnam War as a UH-1 Huey pilot, Roy’s experiences have profoundly shaped his writing. He holds a degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has spent decades flying helicopters for the Forest Service, Fish and Game, and offshore oil rigs in Texas.
Beyond aviation, Roy is a versatile author with a rich portfolio that spans novels, short stories, essays, and poems. His works, including Jackson's Mountain, The Spirit, Dare to Dream, and Freedom, reflect his fascination with human resilience, the complexities of war, and the pursuit of freedom.
Roy now enjoys retirement in Pueblo West, Colorado, alongside his wife Shirley and their daughter Apryl, always exploring new creative horizons.
