Bruce Allemann

Bruce Allemann (born in Pietermaritzburg 1964) is a 4th Dan Aikikai Aikido instructor in Cape Town, South Africa. The author has been a teaching committee member and Fukoshidoin and Shidoin for the Aikido Federation of South Africa (AFSA) for the last several years and teaches adults and children actively in his dojo in the picturesque seaside suburb of Fish Hoek.

Bruce's book "Aikido - the essential guide to mastering the art" is part of a series of books on various martial arts produced in Cape Town with a focus on basic guides with high quality glossy photographs and has sold well internationally and is also available in a German translation.

The author is married and has two teenage daughters who both love horses. Bruce works in IT as a solution architect for a large South African retail company and loves the outdoors, water sports, technology, strategy and of course Aikido.
