John Bainbridge

John Bainbridge writes two historical thriller series. The William Quest books are set in the 1850s and follow the dark adventures of a Victorian vigilante. The Sean Miller adventures are set just before the outbreak of World War Two, with Miller battling British traitors and the Third Reich.

John has also written the historical fiction series "The Chronicles of Robin Hood". These four novels are a gritty and realistic reworking of the Robin Hood legend.

John's latest book is Gibbet Hill, a prequel to the Quest novels, set on Dartmoor in 1817.

John's wife Anne writes two historical detective series. The Inspector Abbs books are set in Victorian England, and the Inspector Chance series set in Sussex in the 1930s.
