Bernard Lewis

Bernard Lewis is a retired local government officer who lives in Neath, West Glamorgan. He was born in Swansea and worked for the city council for over 40 years before taking early retirement in 2009.

He holds a Diploma in Local History awarded by the University of Wales (Swansea) and is the author of several books on the history of Swansea or Neath, as detailed on this page.

His current work: "Neath's Forgotten Hero: The Life of Henry Coombe-Tennant" will be published by Y Lolfa in 2021.
