Bob Smithouser

In his more than 20 years with Focus on the Family, Plugged In senior editor Bob Smithouser has reviewed entertainment, edited an award-winning parenting magazine, written countless articles and blogs, and authored several books (including Chart Watch, Movie Nights and, most recently, The One Year Father-Daughter Devotions). Since 1995 he has answered children's media questions in "High Voltage," a monthly column that has appeared in magazines such as Brio, Breakaway and Clubhouse. Bob currently hosts two popular audio podcasts, "The Official Adventures in Odyssey Podcast" (with Jesse Florea) and "The Official Plugged In Podcast." While earning a master's degree in communications at the University of Kentucky, this New Jersey native placed his research emphasis on family communication studies. Today he lives with his wife and two children in Colorado Springs.
