He has owned the Boeing Stearman, WW II, Army trainer, the subject of FLYING THROUGH TIME for fifteen years and more sensible, warmer airplanes for twenty-five.

Jim holds a masters degree from UCLA, was a Lecturer at that university but his day job for thirty years has been creating national print and television advertising for major agencies and clients.

Jim lives with his wife Mary Ann in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in Columbia, California, where he flies the Stearman off of Columbia's beautiful grass strip as God, Boeing and Lloyd Stearman intended.
