Formerly a stylist for the Conran Design Group, Deena Beverley went on to become Launch Editor of the iconic Next Interior catalogue. She now works internationally as a stylist, writer, illustrator and designer for both commercial and editorial clients. She contributes regularly to magazines, as well as being the author of many best selling books on crafts, interiors, gardening and other lifestyle subjects. Deena also broadcasts on television and radio. Her passion is for 'making the ordinary extraordinary' by taking a little time to inject a personal touch into the mundane. 'Luxe for less' is her personal mantra; often finding its form in repurposed items or reworked found materials. Deena runs workshops in innovative and traditional techniques and writes regularly for the Embroiderers' Guild. She is also a specialist peripatetic tutor in demand at universities, schools, colleges and non-traditional learning environments alike. Deena is proactively inclusive in her work; developing intergenerational projects specifically designed to attract participants and readers of either gender, and any age, as well as catering to ability ranges from complete novice to expert.
