Brian Hines

Brian Hines is a retired health policy analyst with a lifelong interest in philosophy, spirituality, and religion. After being a believer for 35 years, Eastern religion variety, his increasing doubts led him to start a Church of the Churchless blog. He's written four books, continues to be an active blogger, and is a passionate citizen activist in Salem, Oregon. Hines lives with his wife and dogs on ten acres south of Salem. He has a Master's degree in Social Work and completed the course requirements for a doctorate in Systems Science, but became a Ph.D. dropout. An avid martial artist, he's gone from 12 years in hard style (karate) to 15 years in soft style (Tai Chi).
