M. D. Spenser

M.D. Spenser (born May 1, 1953) is the author of the 36-book Shivers series. The books were scary novels, each 120-125 pages long, aimed at readers from 8 to 12 years old.

The Shivers books were published in between 1996 and 1998. Spenser also wrote the six-book Humano Morphs series. Both series have been out of print for some time, but the Shivers series is now being published as ebooks, available at Amazon's Kindle store.

Spenser is an international journalist originally from the United States but based now in Belgium. He is writing a novel set in modern London, titled Some Say In Ice. He is also working on a book about running and a humorous memoir about his years in journalism.
