Peter John Harrison

Peter is a scientist, computer programmer, and professional writer. He was a frequent contributor to LAN Times magazine, Contributing Editor to MicroTimes magazine and Wired Magazine's HotWired, and author of the Internet Direct Connect Kit (IDG Books).

His computer programming and many of his publications specialized in digital communications technologies. in 1995 Microsoft Network (MSN) invited Mr. Harrison to manage their Bandwidth and Networking forums. While at Microsoft, Mr. Harrison created the original web browser based Bandwidth Speed Test.

Mr. Harrison holds degrees in Computer Science (Coleman University 1986) and Biology with a minor in Chemistry (Washington State University 2011) and has become a vocal advocate for basing government policies on solid science and quality research. He is running for Congress in Southwest Washington State's 3rd Congressional District (WA-3).
