Jean Huets

Jean Huets is author of WITH WALT WHITMAN, HIMSELF, acclaimed by Whitman scholar Ed Folsom as "a true Whitmanian feast," and THE BONES YOU HAVE CAST DOWN, a novel set in late medieval Italy and based on the true story of the Popess tarot card. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Millions, Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, and Civil War Monitor. Other published works include ALT SAGAS, a collection of speculative fiction stories, and AT THE FALL LINE, a novel set in post Civil War Virginia, THE COSMIC TAROT book, based on the tarot cards of German visionary artist Norbert Loesche, and with tarot authority Stuart R. Kaplan, THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF TAROT. She co-founded Circling Rivers, an independent press dedicated to poetry and literary nonfiction. She lives in Virginia with her husband, a cat, and several accordians.
