Jason Smith

My name is Jason Wallace Smith and I was born in Boise, Idaho, May 16, 1942. My father was a Republican lawyer and politician (Attorney General 1955-1958) and my mother active in cultural affairs. I developed a fascination with science in the fourth grade and my early years were spent studying constantly in astronomy, chemistry, herpetology, and early computing science. In 1958 shortly after my 16th birthday I ran away from home to join Fidel Castro's Rebel Army then fighting a life and death battle in the Sierra Maestras. The FBI picked me up at a roadblock in Wichita and sent me home. My father was Attorney General of Idaho at the time so this episode received a lot of attention.

I did not graduate from High School but joined the US Army with a GED November, 20, 1959 and stayed until January of 1962 specializing in Military Intelligence and assigned to the 163rd Military Intelligence Battalion in Vicenza Italy. From Italy I carried out a number of missions and private undertakings throughout Europe, including a showdown with Roger Hollis in London in June of 1961 when Kim Philby still had nineteen months to run in Beirut before being forced to flee to Moscow. There were ramifications to all of this which led to my somewhat early discharge and return to the USA in January of 1962 as I have described in Volume One (The Buccaneer) of my autobiography (Idaho Smith's Search for the Foundation). In September 1962 I traveled to Mexico City with a friend on our way to Havana Cuba for medical school at the University of Havana where we had been accepted. However, the Missile Crisis of October cut that short and other things happened which led me back to the States. I joined the Communist Party USA in Portland Oregon in early 1963 and did not leave for over a year. In 1964 I worked in Oklahoma City for Roger Dolese as a private eye until 1965. I helped Phil Taylor organize Los Angeles for the Chinese lining (communist) Progressive Labor Party in 1965, met Rachel Ann Folick on an anti-war demonstration in November (1965) on Hollywood Boulevard and a few months later (March 12, 1966) we were married in Los Angeles and we stayed married for thirty years.

I received my B.A. in Anthropology from California State University Los Angeles in 1968 and my Ph.D. in Archaeology from the University of Calgary in 1974. My doctoral dissertation proved a trans-Beringian migration from China and Siberia arriving in Alaska immediately after the last ice age and it also demonstrated the existence of an even earlier migration of humans into the New World (For a summary see The Northeast Asian Northwest American Microblade Tradition in the Journal of Field Archaeology, 1974, Vol. 1 No. 1). I taught in Calgary, at Boise State University, and several California State Universities (Los Angeles, Fullerton, and Northridge). During those years I wrote a textbook Foundations of Archaeology available in many university libraries (locate the one nearest you at www.worldcat.org for this and other books I have written). I also ran a high profile field school for CSUN on the campus of UCSD Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 1976 (La Jolla, California.) Richard S. MacNeish attended and subsequently brought my wife and me to his Museum on the campus of Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass in November 1976 where he introduced me to Gordon Willey and other leading lights of Harvard Anthropology.

While conducting archaeological research for Richard S. MacNeish near Ayacucho Peru in 1977 I got involved in the initial phase of the Peruvian civil war as a foreign military advisor for the Rebel Army of Professor Abimael Guzman and ended up in a Peruvian prison from 1977 to 1980. I have written three books about these adventures (volumes 3, 4 and 5 of the autobiographical series "Idaho Smith's" Search for the Foundation which are in university libraries you can locate at www.worldcat.org )Volume 3 Shining Path, The Peruvian Revolution in this Idaho Smith series (and the first book in the Peruvian trilogy of Books, 3, 4 and 5) is also now available in e-book form at www.amazon.com kindle books.

I became a petroleum engineer afterwards and was trained as a "wireline" engineer specializing in oilwell logging by NL Industries at their schools in Houma, Louisiana and Houston, Texas during 1981 and 1982. I worked in those years for every major and many independent US oil companies and for PEMEX in the Gulf Coast as an employee of NL McCullough and NL Shaffer de Mexico, S.A de C.V. I was sent to Villahermosa

Tabasco as Assistant Manager for NL's only Mexican district and then as Sales Manager for NL in Mexico City. During that time I also wrote all of the NL downhole oilfield tools Operators Manuals. I also authored several internal (secret but published) NL reports on the Mexican oilfield.

I created my own oil company in the US in January 1985 (Jason Smith Petroleum Corporation) and another oilfield service company in Mexico (Grupo Petrolero SA de CV). My competitor's siced the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) onto me in 1985 and of course the US Government "black ops" scumbags jumped in against me for political reasons and eventually they put me out of business. I beat the Feds in two judicial processes but eventually, third time around, they got me into prison where I spent the better part of the 1990's (See the website www.peruvianprisonbreaks.com at the button "Spy Stories" for more of the gory details.

My primary self-appointed writing task (other than writing an eight volume autobiography entitled Idaho Smith's Search for the Foundation) has been to produce and encyclopedic Handbook which has evolved into a textbook. It has been written for cadres so as to be an easily read source book and guide for all those who wish to know what communism has been, is now and always will be all about. What people get from the cap press in the USA is just propaganda and nonsense. What they get from the so-called Left press is little better. This book, now in its 8th edition is the ABC's of Communism, Bolshevism 2012, and is the culmination of work done over the years 2005 through 2012.
