Dave Shaw

Dave grew up on a dairy farm in the heart of Cheshire in the English countryside. Always a dreamer with his head in the clouds he became an avid reader of fantasy, sci fi and adventure stories at an early age.

Aside from many, many hours spent working with animals, he also spent countless hours driving tractors. It was whilst driving up and down a field at 3mph that he let his mind wander and began crafting stories to while away the time.

After years of working on the farm, Dave decided to follow his passion and retrain in a profession that had always fascinated him, and so at the tender age of thirty, he headed to university to study archaeology.

After he graduated, he spent a few years splitting his time between driving tractors and working on various excavations, until he finally committed and became a full time archaeologist. A profession that has enabled him to meet some fantastic people and work on some amazing sites such as Stonehenge.

His hobbies include medieval combat, reading and gaming and he feels no shame in the fact that his love of tractors has never diminished.
