Helen Latner wore many hats: high school English teacher, writer, world traveler, music producer, wife and mother. A true New Yorker, she was born, raised and educated in the city (Hunter College and Columbia University.) She became known as the "Jewish Dear Abby" for the widely syndicated weekly advice column she wrote for the New York Jewish Week for twelve years, "Ask Helen Latner." She authored three books on Jewish etiquette, edited The Round-the-World Jewish Cookbook, and, after the death of her second husband, edited and published a volume of his poetry (Three Line Worlds-Poems in Haiku Style by David Latner). In addition to her non-fiction and editing work, she has written a collection of short stories and a volume of poetry (as of yet unpublished), and in 2012, she published her first full-length novel, Where Love Hides.
