Stacey Levine is the author of The Girl with Brown Fur (Finalist, Washington State Book Award), Frances Johnson (Finalist, Washington State Book Award), and the Pulitzer Prize-nominated MICE 1961, among other books and stories. The Washington Post termed her literary fiction "a brilliant chemistry of alienation and familiarity...never seen anywhere else." Having published voice-driven, uncanny tales and novels long before the current wave of fiction foregrounding the Weird, Levine often reads from her work in bookstores and galleries; her stories have appeared in The Brooklyn Rail, Tin House, Yeti, The Iowa Review, and other venues. She teaches writing in Seattle, Washington, USA.
