Donna J. Cornett

I was in my 30's when I started worrying about my drinking. I wasn't suffering from any alcohol-related problems, but I was health conscious and heavy drinking and its consequences didn't fit into my future. And even though I was concerned about my drinking, I didn't think it was serious enough to stop and join AA - my only options at the time.

Armed with an MA and California College Teaching Credential in psychology, I started counseling drinkers in 1985 and started Drink/Link Moderate Drinking Programs in 1988. I believed there was a real need to offer a commonsense moderate drinking program to problem drinkers like myself - teaching drinkers to modify drinking habits and attitudes and reduce alcohol consumption. Problem drinkers outnumber alcoholics four to one. And a problem drinker is still capable of reversing a drinking problem and returning to safe, responbsible drinking with early intervention. If you offer this huge population of problem drinkers - who suffer from years of alcohol abuse and eventually graduate to alcoholism - a sensible, middle-of-the-road program you could prevent millions of drinkers from crossing the line to alcoholism!

I haven't struggled with a drinking problem for years. I automatically know when to stop and enjoy the peace of mind knowing I'll never worry about my drinking again. I've written three books, 7 Weeks to Safe Social Drinking: How to Effectively Moderate Your Alcohol Intake, Moderate Drinking - Naturally! Herbs and Vitamins to Control Your Drinking and the latest, the Moderate Drinking Made Easy Workbook: Drinker-Friendly Tips and Exercises to Control Drinking and Reduce Alcohol Craving and Consumption.

I invite you to call or email me with questions or concerns about your drinking and I'll give you my take. Totally free and confidential. In closing, keep this thought in mind: A healthy lifestyle - physically and mentally - is the antidote to alcohol abuse.

Take Care,

Donna Cornett
