Araceli Tinajero

Araceli Tinajero was born and raised in Mexico City. Before joining The City College of New York and The Graduate Center she taught Japanese language at the University of Wales and Spanish and Latin American Literature at Middlebury College and Yale University. She is the co-founder of the Mexico Study Group at the Bildner Center for Western Hemisphere Studies and the founder of The Mexican Collection/Coleccion Mexicana at the Cohen Library (City College). Her manuscript EL LECTOR DE TABAQUERIA received Honorable Mention from Casa de las Americas.
