Brad Henderson is an emeritus lecturer at University of California, Davis, where he spent 20 years on the front lines teaching technical writing courses for students majoring in engineering, science, and agricultural economics. Leveraging his hybrid background in engineering, creative writing, and music, Brad also taught a popular freshman seminar on the psychology of drummers: rock, jazz, & blues. He has also worked as a design engineer, corporate educator, nightclub drummer, and cowboy. He is the author of the 80s rock n roll novel Drums, three volumes of poetry, and most recently, a groundbreaking new professional development title for engineers and other STEM professionals, which teaches workplace writing skills through the lens of math. Brad's next book is sequence of narrative poems that tells the story of his “secret cowboy” persona, tracing back to childhood summers and holidays at his grandfather’s Gold Country cattle ranch.
